A question I have in mind for a long time now, why M. Coelho has choose Melchisedec to send Santiago on the road ?
Melchisedech is maybe the most enigmatic character in the Bible and one among we know the less ?

If you liked “the Alchemist”, you would LOVE “The Epic of Arya: In Search of the Sacred Light”. It is described as “a Spiritual Journey of Self-Discovery beyond Eastern Fundamentalism and Western Materialism”.
In the Alchemist, Coelho spoke of a boy’s long journey across the miles in search of wealth, a journey which ultimately ends with the realisation that the real and enduring wealth is to be found within.
Abir Taha’s “The Epic of Arya; In Search of the Sacred Light” (www.the-epic-of-arya.com) is the odyssey of the Spirit on earth, a spiritual, inner journey of initiation, self-conquest, and self-discovery which starts in man’s soul and its tragic and endless inner struggle between light and darkness, between the human and the divine. For Arya is both a woman and a goddess, and she suffers as a bridge between two distant shores, striving to reconcile the irreconcilable. Her journey ends with the realisation that true, divine harmony is achieved when man again becomes one, accepting his humanity and embracing his divinity.

I've just finished reading The Alchemist. It's a great read, really in the tradition of Og Mandino's classics and The Little Prince. But could somebody tell me how the author's surname is pronounced? I don't have any knowledge of Portuguese. Thanks.

I am a tenth grader but i am also a year behind the rest of my classmates. before you judge, i am very capable of discussing such a book. the alchemist was not just a book though. it was a journey. it reflected back on my life even though short lived it was and is something to talk about. for me, the book might be perceived differently since most of you guys probably already fulfilled your personal legend or missed your chance. for me there is still time. paulo coelho told me not to give up and i wont.

I finished reading Eleven Minutes few days ago and was left amazed by it... I've read alot of Coelho's books, but this one left the biggest impression on me and in alot of ways has changed me..I felt like I discovered a part of me through it. L0ve..sex...life.. freedom..commitment... His way of explaining everything is unreal. I don't agree with the ending though. I think it would've been more powerfull if she f0llowed the path she chose.. instead her prince charming appeared at the end and another fairytale was written.. And we all kn0w that life is anything but a fairytale.. Anyhone agrees with me...? Anyone has any other opinions..? Overall a GREAT book! I fell in love with it.. :)

Hi sadhurishi,
I hope you still read this since the topic is quite old. The sites seperately are all great and very well done, but to me they appear is a group of seperate sites with a common theme. Personally i think it would be far easier to navigate if you group the blog / warrior of the light / and general site together, with a similar layout etc (myspace/youtube excluded ofcourse). It might make things a little more coherent.

Another thing is that i could not find a link to this forum easily from the blog or warrior of the light. I think a forum like this has great potential, maybe you can link blog entries to topics here, so instead of blog comments people can discuss the entries in a forum topic?

Just some ideas, thanks for the nice job sofar :)

it's a great book to be read.the story is woven in a crystal clear manner.the narration is so beautifully done that you completely forget yourself and get lost in the world created by paulo coelho.
once you start reading the book you never feel like leaving it even for a moment.you get drowned in the deep ocean of words which he has created.
exuberant,great,deep,crisp,fantabulous........i'm running short of words to describe this wonderful book.
a must-read!
